The Study, Design of the GCC Component of Kuwait National Railway Project Holds First Stakeholder Workshop

On 28th May 2025, The Public Authority for Roads and Transportation (PART) and PROYAPI Engineering & Consultancy Inc. held the first stakeholder workshop for the GCC Component of Its National Railway Project – Phase 1 (Project No. A/HP/1/1) at its headquarters in Kuwait City.

Representatives from the Ministry of Interior, Customs Department, Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC), and the Main Consultant PROYAPI Engineering & Consultancy Inc. participated in the meeting to discuss key design and coordination topics.

Highlights included discussions on the alignment and freight station location near the Camel Racing area, integration of the passenger station with a potential future metro line, and coordination of utility crossings with KGOC. Baggage handling procedures similar to airport systems were also introduced for the passenger terminal.

First Stakeholder workshop has been continued for the above mentioned project at the same place on 29th May 2025 with representatives from the Public Authority for Roads and Transportation, Ministry of Interior and the Main Consultant PROYAPI Engineering & Consultancy Inc.

Stakeholders agreed to continue coordination in upcoming sessions to finalize technical requirements and ensure smooth integration with national and regional transport systems and also, safe and efficient integration of border and oilfield elements into the railway design.
